Lacabezaenlasnubes es Fran Rodríguez. Nació en Torrelavega
(Cantabria) y ahora vive en Barcelona. Antes vivió en Madrid y espera poder vivir algún día en Alaska o en algún planeta lejano. Intentó con fuerza ser una persona normal: se apuntaba a clases, intentaba formar parte de equipos, se matriculó en universidades, pero siempre abandonaba. Se hizo diseñador a los veinte años al enfrentarse a su inequívoca incapacidad para ganarse la vida de alguna otra manera digna y/o legal.
Su trabajo está marcado por su afición temprana al surrealismo y la psicodelia. La percepción “normal” de las cosas hace tiempo que dejó de interesarle. Cree firmemente que lo que percibimos a través de nuestros sentidos es sólo la punta del iceberg. Descubrir lo que yace bajo la superficie se ha convertido en lo más parecido a un proyecto vital que ha tenido.

lacabezaenlasnubes (spanish for "head in the clouds") is Fran Rodríguez. He was born in Torrelavega (Cantabria, Northern Spain) and now lives in Barcelona. Before that he lived in Madrid and hopes to live some day in Alaska or some distant planet. He tried hard to be a normal person: he aimed at classes, tried to join sports teams, enrolled in universities, but he always gave up. He became a designer at the age of twenty when faced with his unequivocal inability to make a living in some other dignified and / or legal way.
His work is marked by his early fondness for surrealism and psychedelia. The "normal" perception of things has long ceased to interest him. He firmly believes that what we perceive through our senses is only the tip of the iceberg. Discovering what lies beneath the surface has become the closest thing to a life project he's ever had.
